Project Description – These water chiller heads being used in a coal fired power plant were suffering from corrosion due to salt water contact. Belzona 1341 Supermetalglide was used to coat the water heads to prevent further deterioration. This particular product was used because of the Belzona Consultant’s familiarity with this plant and its applications.

Problem - These heads were suffering from continuous corrosion due to salt water flowing through them. Left uncoated, the heads were becoming corroded to the point of being unable to function.
Solution - The heads were blasted to a white metal finish and Belzona 1341 Supermetalglide was applied to the surface as a barrier to prevent further corrosion, in turn extending the lifespan of the heads.
