Filler Supply Tank Elbow Repair

Application - Repair pinhole leaks..

Contractor - Technical Consulting done by John Alexander and work performed by Client's Maintenance Crew. 

Problem - Pinhole leak in the elbow at the bottom of the Filler Supply Tank in the boiler room. Needed to fix the leak and get it back into service quickly. 

Solution - Cleaned and mechanically prepared the elbow. Applied Belzona 1111 Super Medal to the elbow then stippled the Belzona 1111 Super Metal into the cloth.  Wrapped the cloth around the elbow and then brushed on a top coat of Belzona 1111 Super Metal.

Product Detail - A 2-part repair composite for metal repair and resurfacing based on solvent free epoxy resin reinforced with silicon steel alloy. This repair material will not corrode and resists a wide range of chemicals. It is easy to mix and apply without the need of specialist tools and can be machined using conventional tools.
