Emergency Leak Repair

Application - Pipe leaking in the boiler room of a Nursing Home facility.

Problem -  Pinhole leaks in a pipe elbow, allowing cold water to shoot across the boiler room. Leak was causing possibility of further asset damage and was a safety hazard for facility.  Customer was looking for a quick return to service, long lasting repair and was not interested in replacing the pipe..

Solution - Turned cold water off and isolated the leak. Mechanically prepared the pipe substrate.  Mixed and applied Belzona 1212, stippled in a piece of Belzona 9341 Reinforcement Cloth, wrapping it around the pipe.  Re-applied a top coat of Belzona 1212, to fully encapsulate the Belzona 9341 cloth.  The job was complete in one hour, water was turned back on and the nursing home was back in service.
