Project Description – Rusted Display Cannon Repaired Using Belzona 1111
Application - Repair to Display Cannon to repair rust and worn areas.

Problem - The Seal Team Cannon was used for static display purposes. The barrel of the cannon had been filled with concrete. Water began to collect in the cannon barrel, between the concrete and the steel barrel, resulting in rusting from the inside to the outside of the cannon. Customer wanted rust areas repaired and contours of original cannon restored.
Solution - Concrete was removed from inside of cannon. Exterior of cannon was media blasted to provide an SSPC-10 SP10 profile. Dust, dirt and debris were removed from the substrate. Worn and holed areas were filled with Belzona 1111 Super Metal and 1111 was finished to restore original cannon contours. Cannon was powder coated to customer specified color.

Product Detail - Belzona 1111 Super Metal - A 2-part repair composite for metal repair and resurfacing based on solvent free epoxy resin reinforced with silicon steel alloy.
This repair material will not corrode and resists a wide range of chemicals. It is easy to mix and apply without the need of specialist tools and can be machined using conventional tools.
