Project Description – Roof Drain Pipe Repair and Barrier Wall Installation
Application - Rebuild Roof Drain Pipe and install new Barrier Wall with Safety Red coating.

Problem - A fork truck accidentally hit the roof drain pipe, just above the floor, broke a piece of the pipe flange and bent the pipe, causing it to leak.
Solution - Clean drain pipe substrate and bond the broken piece of flange back into place and complete a pipe wrap around the flange connection using Belzona 1111 Super Metal with Belzona 9341 Reinforcement Cloth. Additionally, a barrier wall was built around the pipe, to protect it from future hits or damage. The new barrier wall was built using Belzona 4911 Magma TX Conditioner and Belzona 4131 Magma Screed. The new barrier wall was immediately coated with Belzona 4411 Granogrip (Safety Red) with Belzona 9211 Supergrip Aggregate added to provide slip resistance characteristics.

Belzona 1111 (Super Metal)
A 2-part repair composite for metal repair and resurfacing based on solvent free epoxy resin reinforced with silicon steel alloy. This repair material will not corrode and resists a wide range of chemicals. It is easy to mix and apply without the need of specialist tools and can be machined using conventional tools.
Belzona 9341 SuperWrap II
Belzona SuperWrap II offers a new generation repair solution for corroded, weakened and holed pipe and tank walls, compliant to ISO24817 and ASME PCC2. It comprises a fluid grade resin system, a bespoke hybrid reinforcement sheet based on fibre glass and carbon fibre, as well as release film to consolidate and finish off the application.
This composite repair system was engineered for pipe wrap and patch repair as an alternative to replacing defective metallic substrates, providing superior strength, corrosion and chemical resistance. Belzona SuperWrap II allows quick and easy repair of equipment within industries such as Oil and Gas, Power Generation and Marine.
Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed)
A non-porous, 2-part epoxy repair composite designed for resurfacing and protecting large areas of concrete, stone and many other surfaces. This solvent free material provides excellent chemical and abrasion resistance and protection from impact and environmental attack.
Far stronger than concrete, Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) can be used as a repair material or to provide an extra strong top layer to existing concrete areas. In addition, it meets the USDA requirements for incidental food contact as it offers a safe and hygienic surface. This simple to apply material is easy to mix and can be applied by trowel without the need for specialist tools.
Belzona 4411 (Granogrip)
A two-part fluid epoxy resin designed for the creation and repair of safety grip systems on walking surfaces. Used in conjunction with Belzona Aggregates, this solvent free material is ideal where slip reduction, adhesion, chemical or wear resistance are required. Belzona 4411 (Granogrip) is easy to mix and can be applied manually without the need for specialist tools and will cure at room temperature, eliminating the need for hot work.
